Zero is a high-end stylised character stacked with complex features. Designed with in-engine customisation in mind, she features attachments, swappable outfits and dynamic elements.
The character is implemented in Unreal Engine with customisable materials and game-ready animations.
A short cinematic animation was sequenced and rendered in Unreal to showcase the character's advanced game-ready blender rig.
For Zero's design we wanted to create a confident young woman that is agile and capable.
The character is designed to look good with and without the jacket and backpack. Care was taken to make the helmet design cohesive with the character design.
To contrast the characters strength we designed a cute backpack.
Zero has a feature packed blender rig. We went all out with her rig and developed a game-ready animation friendly rig with custom animation menu's for space switching, IK/FK matching, IK/FK baking, and much more.
As well as dynamic attachments, a zipper rig, and last but not least an amazing facial rig with expression pose library in blender.
This rig was designed to be animation friendly, fast and ready for Unreal Engine!
Zero was animated for a short cinematic intro featuring a walkcycle, and action sequence.
She was fully animated in blender making use of our custom animation menus.
