Lead Technical Animator

Overview:

In this role you will:

  • Rigging and skinning of characters, creatures and props.

  • Supervise the rigging team. Provide constructive feedback and mentor junior riggers.

  • Ensure deliverables are completed on-time, on specs and up to quality standards.

  • Work with production to ensure schedules and plans meet business needs.

  • R&D rigging solutions within proprietary rigging systems.

What we’re looking for:

  • 6+ years of experience in game development with several shipped titles.

  • Expert of skinning and rigging, whether this be character, creatures, or props.

  • Excellent understanding of skinning and rigging assets for games

  • Extensive experienced in Maya Rigging and Tools Development.

  • Experienced with Unreal and Unity.

  • Experienced with facial rigging and FACS.

  • Understanding the challenges of real time production and experience with animation and character pipelines, animation systems and character rigging.

  • Strong communication, and organizational skills.

  • Self-motivated, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.

  • Strong Python programming skills.

  • Experience using source control software (i.e. Perforce, Git).
